The “Dawg Gone Walk & Fiesta” is a fun-filled day where pets and owners enjoy contests, games, demonstrations and the pledge walk. Unlike some animal welfare organizations we are not a county or government agency and do not receive funds from national humane organizations. Every bit of operational funds must be raised each year to run the shelter. This event is one of the biggest fundraisers for the shelter and all proceeds go directly to house, feed and care for the homeless pets in Brown County.
Save a Shelter Pet - Your Donations Make a Difference. It costs approximately $20,000 per month to run the shelter, and we care for 1000 pets each year with a 95% Out Alive rate (one of the best in the United States)!

- Register after May 8 - $15 per dog
- On-site registration starts at 12:30 pm
- Free goody bag filled with dog treats & toys for 1st 125 registered dogs
- Dogs must be on a leash at all times- no retractable leads
- Dogs must enjoy the company of other dogs & people
