The “Dawg Gone Walk & Fiesta” is a fun-filled day where pets and owners enjoy contests, games, demonstrations and the pledge walk.
Unlike some animal welfare organizations we are not a county agency and do not receive funds from national humane organizations. Every bit of operational funds must be raised each year to run the shelter. This event is one of the biggest fundraisers for the shelter and all proceeds go directly to house, feed and care for the homeless pets in Brown County.
It is a unique and effective marketing opportunity for you. Last year the Walk raised over $12,000 and approximately 120 dogs and their people attended. This year our goal is to raise $17,000 – that’s how much it costs every month to run the shelter. Your donation is critical in helping us meet this goal. Whether you give $20 or $1000, every dollar helps Brown County’s homeless pets.
