60 seconds of affection and 6 minutes of play, that’s how Maurie schedules his time.
Walk into Maurie’s kennel and he’ll gently greet you, rub his head against your leg and bump your hand for a pat.
But stay very long and he’s soon play-bowing and asking for a romp in the pen. Once outside his hound nose is very busy investigating all the scents and wandering from one grass clump to the next.
A quick tug on his leash or a call of his name and he’ll come back over for some petting.
If he could talk, he’d tell you exactly which other dogs have been where and when.
This young dog is a perfect combination of gentle when appropriate and ready to rock when given a chance.
