Calhoun is quite the gentleman.
He sits nicely as you put his leash on, he lets others go through the door first and he trots easily by your side.
When he wants attention he presses his head against your leg.
Once in awhile he will jump up to get close to your face, but it is a gentle jump – more like a hug than a jump!
At just three years old, he’s figured out that a calm attitude will get him a lot farther in life than a silly or demanding personality.
At first, Calhoun seemed a bit unsure of himself around other dogs, but he has now made several doggy friends at the shelter and enjoys playing in the yard with them.
