Dog of the Week – 02-29-16

Dog of the Week - Rosalind largeRosalind Franklin – This is probably the first time we named a doggy for a scientist!  But staff couldn’t resist, considering the parallels between our Rosalind and the person Rosalind, who helped discover DNA.   Both are strong, confident, and  able to hold their own with the boys.

Rosalind Franklin has good leash manners, knows to sit for a treat, and races across the field on her short legs.  Of course, with her confidence in her own abilities, she probably thinks she’s flying.

Although Rosalind is willing to hang out with dogs, she really prefers quiet time with people, as they seem to appreciate her intelligence more!  Her favorite spot at the shelter is hanging out with the staff in the clinic.  There’s a cushy chair and she gets lots of attention there. Plus, she can watch all of the sciency stuff.
